Forgive me for being locked away in Ellensburg for who knows how long, but… why is the Mighty Ducks playing on Cartoon Network? I mean… not that it’s a bad thing or anything. It’s not a cartoon though… are they gonna play the other two movies sometime soon then? I mean… it’s called Cartoon Network for a reason, right?

I don’t even remember when was the last time I saw the movie, but damn, the first two were good movies. I never saw the third one though. Only caught the end of it though, was busy watching the Mariners lose (and as a Mariner fan, I found the game really depressing).

Actually, I’m only starting to get back into baseball after a two-year hiatus from following it. I thank World of Warcraft for that.

So, the Heroes season one has finally come to a close. Heroes is the first TV series that’s not an anime, talk-show, or comedy-oriented that I’ve watch in a very long time. Superhero stuff is nothing new. But what really struck me about Heroes are the characters. There aren’t any funky costumes, or overused one-liners; I found the character development one of the best aspects, and what got me interested after watching a few minutes of the show.

Naturally, I was tuned in for the finale. And I may have to get a television in wherever I live so I can keep watching. Unfortunately, I found the season finale to be slightly disappointing. The fact that there seemed like more commercials than usual didn’t really help either. Though to be honest, I thought it was also a tall order to wrap everything up in an hour, even if the preceding episode did start to wrap things up.

I was hoping for a comfortable sense of closure, even though I knew it wouldn’t completely wrap up. Sylar is still out there, it’s still possible Peter survived, and there’s many other loose ends that haven’t really been covered up. Like the guy who’s “worse than Sylar.” The ex-watch repairman was bad enough. And what exactly was the deal with Lindermann and his associations.

And let’s not even talk about the whole time travel thing. When anything time travel is introduced in a storyline, it has a huge potential to suddenly become a mess.

But nevertheless, I’m looking forward to Heroes volume two, and its spinoff series, Origins. I just hope it won’t suck.

And for the record, I did enjoy the Heroes season finale. It could of been worse, it had its good moments, and it’s probably hard to wrap up something like that in just an hour. I suppose the sentence above implies that. Maybe not, maybe it does. Oh yes, I also plan on purchasing the season one DVD set. There goes the finances for the Wii I was going to get.

I think I’ll be okay as long as I have enough money to buy Starcraft 2 when it comes out.
